Updates and Exciting Features from Getscreen.me¶
We’re thrilled to share the results of our hard work in Q4. This season, we focused on delivering meaningful updates to make Getscreen.me even more powerful, seamless, and user-friendly for your business and personal needs. Let’s dive into what’s new!
Software Monitoring¶
We launched the first version of the Software subsection in the Permanent Access section of your personal account. This feature allows you to monitor and manage the versions of software installed on connected devices. It’s perfect for tracking outdated or vulnerable software, helping you maintain security and efficiency.
- What’s next? In the future, we plan to introduce notifications and one-click software updates—so stay tuned!
- Don’t need this feature? It’s entirely optional.
Keep in mind that it requires the latest version of our Agent, which you can update on our website or in your personal account.
Automatic Recovery of Session Connections¶
Dropped connections are a thing of the past! Our new Automatic Recovery of Session Connections ensures that your remote access sessions resume seamlessly after any disconnection. Whether it’s a server issue or a brief network interruption, you can now work without frustrating delays.
Remember to update to the latest Agent version to take full advantage of this feature.
Enhanced History Connections¶
The History Connections section in your personal account got a major upgrade! Now, each session card provides detailed information, including:
- Session Overview: Start and end times, duration, devices involved, IP addresses, and geographical data.
- Session Details: Video recordings, chat history, file transfers, and comments. Additionally, we improved the filters and layout of the session list for a more intuitive experience.
Wake-on-LAN in Gateway¶
Our Gateway feature now supports Wake-on-LAN, adding even more flexibility to your workflow. What is Gateway? It’s a headless utility installed on your company’s local network, acting as a bridge to internal services. It supports importing users from Active Directory, setting up a proxy server for faster connections, and now, waking devices without dedicated IP addresses.
How it works?
From your personal account on Getscreen.me, simply execute the Wake-on-LAN command. The Gateway sends a Magic Packet to the required device on the local network, waking it up without hassle. Learn more
