Getscreen.me Q2 2025 Update: Terminal Mode, Smarter Chat & Global Reach¶
Q2 (April 1 – June 30, 2025) was a build-heavy quarter for the Getscreen.me team—and it shows. We shipped command‑line access, session‑free chat, adaptive performance controls, safer mobile onboarding, fresh React interfaces, clearer pricing, a full partner portal, new currencies. In short: more control for admins, more clarity for buyers, and wider access for teams worldwide.
If you’ve only got a minute, jump to the TL;DR below. Otherwise, grab a coffee and come see what’s new—and why it matters.
TL;DR (Quick Scan)¶
- Terminal Mode: Lightweight command‑line access to remote devices.
- Chat Without Connecting: Message users tied to permanent access—no live session required.
- Adaptive Performance: Custom video settings; auto wallpaper hide & grayscale mode on weak connections; proxy + auto‑update controls in the desktop dashboard.
- Safer Mobile Access: Trial / evaluation period to reduce fraudulent or abusive mobile use.
- React UI Upgrades: Branding Settings & Audit Log pages rebuilt for speed and clarity.
- Commercial Growth: Detailed paid limits page; partner program & portal live; billing now supports BRL and AED.
Why This Quarter Matters¶
Remote access has moved from “nice when you need it” to “how teams actually get work done.” That shift means admins want finer control, support teams need faster back‑and‑forth, and global buyers expect local language and local currency. Q2’s work leans hard into all three.
Terminal Mode: When You Just Need the CLI¶
Some jobs don’t need a full visual session. Sometimes you just want to restart a service, pull logs, update a package, or run a quick diagnostic. Terminal Mode lets you connect directly to a device’s command line without spinning up a full remote desktop stream.
Why you’ll like it:
- Faster than launching a full session.
- Lower bandwidth footprint—great for flaky rural links or cellular fallbacks.
- Friendlier for scripted workflows (DevOps, IT automation, fleet maintenance).
How to try it: Open a device that’s enabled for permanent access and choose Terminal from the connection options. (Feature availability may vary by OS and plan; check in‑app.)
Chat Without an Active Session: Stay in Touch Between Fixes¶
Support often starts with a question—not a screen share. Now you can chat with end users tied to permanent access devices even when you’re not actively connected. Ask them to reproduce an issue, confirm a time window, or send a screenshot before you jump in.
Use cases:
- Queue up pre‑session instructions (“Leave the laptop on tonight—I'll patch it.”)
- Lightweight triage across many devices.
- Faster user response without burning session bandwidth.
No more “connect just to chat” overhead.
Adaptive Performance & Connection Controls¶
Bandwidth isn’t always kind. So we added ways to tune quality—or let Getscreen.me adapt in real time when the network drops.
Custom Video Streaming Settings¶
In the agent, you can now change how video is transmitted: quality vs. responsiveness trade‑offs are in your hands. Dial things down for remote areas or crank quality when you’re on fiber.
Auto Wallpaper Hide & Grayscale Fallback¶
If the connection degrades, Getscreen.me can automatically hide the remote wallpaper and even switch to black‑and‑white mode to conserve bandwidth and improve responsiveness. You focus on the fix; we optimize the stream.
Proxy & Auto‑Update Controls in the Desktop Dashboard App¶
Enterprise firewalls? Locked‑down networks? You can now set proxy server details directly in the desktop dashboard application. While you’re there, control automatic updates so fleets stay current on your schedule.
Safer Mobile Access: Trial Period to Reduce Abuse¶
Remote access to mobile devices is powerful—and attractive to bad actors. To help protect users and limit fraudulent exploitation, we introduced a trial / evaluation period for mobile connections. This adds a layer of friction for abuse while keeping legitimate testing and onboarding smooth.
If you’re rolling out mobile support at scale, let us know how the new flow works for you—we’re tuning it based on real‑world feedback.
Cleaner, Faster UI: Key Pages Rebuilt in React¶
We’ve been steadily modernizing the Getscreen.me interface, and two high‑traffic pages just got the full treatment.
Branding Settings¶
Branding matters—especially for MSPs, resellers, and in‑house IT teams that want trust at the first click. The Branding Settings page is now faster, clearer, and easier to preview. Upload logos, tweak labels, set custom domains or CNAMEs, and generate branded agent builds with fewer clicks.
Audit Log¶
Compliance folks, this one’s for you. The Audit Log page rewrite improves filtering, load speed, and legibility—so tracking who did what (and when) takes seconds, not minutes.
Pricing Transparency: Paid Limits & Options Page¶
No one likes guessing what’s gated behind which plan. We launched a dedicated page that breaks down paid limits and upgrade paths—seats, devices, data caps, and more. Use it when evaluating expansion, budgeting renewals, or comparing internal deployments vs. cloud.
Partner Program & Portal: Sell, Refer, Earn¶
Whether you’re an affiliate, MSP, reseller, or platform integrator, the new Getscreen.me Partner Program gives you tools to promote, sell, and track performance.
Inside the Partner Portal you can:
- Grab referral links with your unique partner ID.
- Download brand files, promo decks, and ready‑to‑use creative.
- Register deals (helpful for resellers protecting pipeline).
- Track rewards, commissions, and conversions.

Pay in Your Local Currency: BRL & AED Added¶
Buying SaaS in a foreign currency is a pain—FX swings, card blocks, accounting mismatch. To make things easier for teams in new regions, Getscreen.me now supports payments in Brazilian real (BRL) and UAE dirham (AED). More currencies are under review; tell us what you need next.
What’s Next (Sneak Peek)¶
Q3 work is already underway. We’re exploring deeper automation hooks, improved fleet reporting, and additional language + currency rollouts. If you want early access programs or have a feature request, drop us a note.
