As 2022 comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on our achievements. This year, the Getscreen.me team worked hard to introduce new features and improvements to make remote access easier, faster, and more convenient for our users. Whether you’re new to our platform or a seasoned operator, here’s a summary of the biggest innovations of 2022!
Dashboard for Operators
Our Getscreen.me Dashboard is a powerful desktop application that mirrors the functionality of your personal account and makes managing remote connections much smoother. Ideal for system administrators and technical support operators, the Dashboard offers several key advantages:
- Always available in the system tray, starts automatically with your computer, and works independently of a browser.
- Standard key combinations like Escape, Alt+Tab, and Win trigger only on the remote computer, avoiding interruptions on your own device.
- Available on Windows and macOS, with Linux support coming soon.
The Dashboard’s interface closely resembles the cloud version, featuring the most important tools: Permanent Access and Quick Support.
If you prefer desktop applications over browser interfaces, the Dashboard is made for you. Download it and work without limits!
Groups for Agents in Permanent Access
This year, we introduced the ability to categorize remote devices into groups and assign personal settings to each. This feature is especially useful for companies with multiple departments or teams.
Benefits of grouping devices include:
- Assigning user settings and permissions per group, such as file transfer, screenshots, or connection without confirmation.
- Restricting access for employees to only the devices in their assigned group.
- Automatic device binding to a group by adding a colon and a group ID after the login:
[email protected]:1001
You can set up and manage groups directly in your personal cabinet to organize your workflow efficiently.
New Features in the Connection Window
We focused on improving the remote connection experience, adding features that enhance performance and flexibility:
- Full-screen mode during remote sessions.
- Support for custom cursors and relative mouse coordinates, perfect for games and 3D modeling applications.
- Ability to connect to existing RDP sessions or create new ones on Windows Server.
- Connection quality indicators, showing response time and FPS in real time.
These improvements help ensure smoother and more precise remote work.
Mass Deployment for Windows and Linux
Deploying Getscreen.me across multiple devices has never been easier:
- Use the MSI package for Active Directory deployment.
- Use binary files for RMM (Remote Network Monitoring and Management) installation.
- Authenticate to your account with the console command:
getscreen.exe -install -register [email protected]
